Mt. Kilimanjaro

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is the adventure of a lifetime! Rising 5,895 metres above the East African plains, it is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.

We know that for many people, climbing Mt Kilimanjaro is a "bucket list" dream. It is one thing to say you are going to do it and a totally different thing to actually do it! That is why we now work exclusively with a trekking company operating at the highest standard. You will be using the very same trek operators that our Founder used to reach the summit, be sure to ask about our experience when booking your climb!.

We cover ALL the main routes. We can organise for you to trek up Kilimanjaro using one of the established main routes; Machame, Marangu, Umbwe, Lemosho or Rongai. In addition to these we can also offer our guests two "unofficial" routes. This is because, much like our safaris, we believe in catering to your individual needs as much as possible! Our Alternative Lemosho Route and Full Circuit Umbwe try to avoid the crowds, maximise your chance of reaching the summit and improve wildlife visibility.

Finding the right route for you is extremely personal and depends upon what you are hoping to achieve and each trek is incredible in its own unique way. Although it is possible to ascend and descend in just 5 days, all of our climbs have a minimum 6 day duration in order to give you as much time to acclimatise as possible.

Make sure you prepare. We love Kilimanjaro and absolutely recommend the experience to anyone who wants to try however, we do not want to leave the impression that a Kilimanjaro climb is easy. It's not your average relaxing holiday and it can be dangerous and painful, but it is also guaranteed to be rewarding, exciting and fun.

A climb to the roof of Africa followed by an 'All Around Tanzania Safari' is the perfect combination! Both are truly unique, private and customisable experiences offering you different levels of excitement and all of the best views Tanzania has to offer.
