This Is Our Story
Where it all began
Whilst on Safari in Tanzania many years ago, co-founder Fiona Hall visited the Shalom Orphanage in Karatu and saw firsthand the struggles the owners and teachers faced trying to provide education and care to the many underprivileged children under their tutelage. Meeting more of the locals through this area of Karatu, Tanzania, Fiona saw the financial hardships parents face in their ability to afford to send their children to school.
Being passionate about education and firmly believing this is the best way to change financial circumstances in an under-developed Country, Fiona decided immediately to begin sponsoring underprivileged children from the Karatu area. Fiona wanted to ensure she could assist each child on an ongoing basis rather than simply providing single donations.
After many sleepless night and countless hours of research, All Around Tanzania Safaris Pty Ltd was born, with the aim to sustain this goal - a safari company making a direct impact on local children's livelihood and futures.
We hope with your help (and a lot of fun along the way!) we can sponsor more children through to adulthood, to live a happy and healthy life filled with opportunities for their future.
On October 19th, 2019 the Senior School made history again, welcoming the family and friends of 52 excited students, as they held their first EVER graduation!

Sustainable Travel
We support sustainable travel initiatives - from employing local people, to ensuring the game parks remain protected and pristine. We do this by supporting local schools, orphanages, businesses and practices that conserve and enable growth in the local area.
Our other co-founder Marco is local to Tanzania and a passionate and very experienced safari guide. He has been working in the industry for over 20 years and we are so lucky to have all his knowledge. We employ local people on all of our safaris and also in our very own campsite (The Junction). This not only allows us to get behind the scenes of Tanzania but also ensure we are contributing to the economic sustainability of the area - this is extremely important as it is part of the reason we created the business in the first place.
